Zoe's story
Share
I met Zoe during a mantrailing competition and her story struck me a lot because it is a story of revenge against those who didn't love her.
Zoe and her sister were found in October 2020 in an abandoned carton in the Castel Volturno area.

After a check-up, which estimated their age at around 2 months, they are then taken to the HAPPY DOG PARK dog centre, where they have found a safe place to stay, where they can be looked after and above all where they can undertake a socialization journey before be adopted.
But what does socialization mean? By socialization we mean introducing and exposing your puppy to new sights, sounds and experiences. This process will accustom the puppies to the world around them and to face new experiences and this is fundamental for their psychophysical well-being. Usually starting from the third week of life, the dogs begin their socialization journey: up to the age of 16 about weeks the dog is defined as a " puppy ". Socialization can be divided into two different moments: a first, fundamental step takes place when the dog is still with the breeder, while the second step begins when the puppy arrives in its new home .

Zoe and her sister responded very well to the various stimulations and, thanks to the work of Lucia and her team, they were able to reach their new home in December, and this is how little Zoe was able to celebrate her first Christmas with the family, always attending the dog center to continue the work of integration into the world and with his new 4-legged sister, Greta.

Still a little wary of people, around 7/8 months old he began his approach to mantrailing with the HAPPY DOG PARK team with excellent results and thus faced his first competition with great results:
- completes the entire first level and wins the final in Rimini in size s/m, thus becoming Italian Champion
"Final in Rimini in which she becomes Italian Champion"
- completes the entire second level and comes in second place in the finals in Florence
"Finale in Florence"
- today she is facing the third level and is one of the few dogs who managed to obtain the qualification of excellent.

For those who missed the previous articles, we remind you that matrailing is: the search for people through the use of utility dogs specially trained to exploit their highly developed olfactory abilities .
Today Zoe is a balanced dog who can peacefully stay in groups of dogs and people no longer scare her so much, today Zoe is a dog who has managed to overcome the harm done to her thanks to teamwork.
Today Zoe is treated like a princess by Pina, Angela and Maddalena.
